This was a full interior repaint for an apartment turnover in Hollywood. The unit already had nice bones, herringbone parquet floors, marble bathroom tile, updated kitchen cabinets, so the job wasn’t about fixing anything. It was about making every wall, ceiling, and piece of trim look as fresh as the finishes already did.
We walked the whole apartment first to map out where the crown molding, baseboards, door casings, and radiator covers needed careful cut-in work versus where we could move fast with a roller. In a unit with this much trim and this many marble-tiled bathrooms, most of the time on a job like this goes into taping and cutting in clean lines, not into rolling paint.

Prepping without disturbing the finishes
Because the floors, tile, and cabinetry were staying exactly as they were, prep was mostly about protection. We covered the parquet and tile in every room before opening a single can of paint, then patched nail holes and small scuffs in the walls so the new coat went on over a smooth surface instead of over old texture.
Walls, ceilings, and trim
We repainted every wall and ceiling in the apartment, along with all the trim, crown molding, door casings, and baseboards. Trim in a unit like this takes longer than people expect. Every radiator cover, closet door frame, and strip of molding along the ceiling beams needs its own careful line, and rushing that step is the fastest way to end up with a job that looks fine from across the room but rough up close.
Kitchen walls and ceiling repainted around the existing cabinets, counters, and appliances.
Bathroom ceiling and upper trim repainted, with the marble tile and fixtures protected throughout.
Bedrooms and hallway
The bedrooms and the hallway got the same treatment, full wall and ceiling coverage, plus every closet door and frame. The herringbone parquet in the bedrooms made masking especially important since a single dripped edge shows up fast against that kind of floor.
